 Independent construction

Using the writing process of drafting, composing, recording, revising, editing and publishing students write an argument text. To differentiate this task, students might write independently or with a partner. 

Students might use a writing frame to help scaffold the writing of the argument text. Over time, it is hoped that this scaffold is removed to give more responsibility to the student as a writer.

Students use checklist created during Modelling the Text (or deconstruction) stage to reflect on their writing.
