This instructional video outlines the clash between some of the pedagogies considered appropriate for high-ability students and the cultural backgrounds of some of the students in our schools. It also provides an explanation of culturally responsive pedagogy, and gives an example. The purpose of this video is to encourage teachers to think deeply about their students when they make pedagogical choices.
