    Description

    ​The Building Social and Emotional Skills and Wellbeing Bundle provides educators with resources to build and develop children’s social and emotional skills and wellbeing. 

    The bundle is a self paced professional learning packaging consisting of professional development in the form of 4 pre-recorded webinars, each as two half hour modules. Each webinar is supported by one of four related books.

    These resources provide in-depth information, examples of pedagogy and practice, and reflective tasks for supporting children’s social and emotional learning and wellbeing. The books are:

    1. Positive Relationships: Supporting Children's Social Development by Jennie Lindon and Liz Rouse 

    2. Exploring Emotions by Ros Bayley and Kay Margetts 

    3. Understanding Behaviour in the Early Years by Kay Mathieson and Bridie Raban 

    4. Practice Principles for Children’s Learning and Development in the VEYLDF by Kay Margetts and Bridie Raban 

    Resources can be combined and used in different ways: as part of in-house professional learning for all educators as a team, in small groups, or individually, and with families/carers.

    Detailed Costs

    ​Individual subscription, for online professional learning and supporting resources: $595 (excl. GST)

    Service subscription, for online professional learning and supporting resources: $1,100 (excl. GST)

    Subscription for up to 10 services across a service provider for online professional learning and supporting resources: $7,950 (excl. GST)

    Tailored program, for a service subscription to the online professional learning and supporting resources plus 4 teleconference 30-minute sessions with a facilitator: $5,100 (excl. GST)

    Implementation Considerations

    ​Target population: educators, parents/carers.

    Program/practice descriptions and details: The program can be fully online (course and e-books), or a combination of the online course and printed books. The resources included in the course can be revisited to support understanding, learning and practice over time as needed. Participants are encouraged to reflect on and apply their learning through questions provided that stimulate reflective practice and case studies. presentations for staff who may not be able to all meet at one time.

    Staffing: the online professional development contains 4 hours of content.

    Supervision/Coaching: a tailored program is available and includes four 30-minute teleconference sessions with a facilitator.

    Tools and systems: a digital device, speaker sand internet connection are required to access the online course and e-book.
