Description
Billy Sparrow Wellbeing Supports – Reflective Practice is a facilitated reflective practice online program consisting of a minimum of three separate 2-hour sessions. Sessions are spaced a minimum of two weeks apart.
Facilitated reflective practice sessions support educators to develop a positive culture of respect and professional inquiry to apply evidence-based practice in their work with children, as well as increase collaboration, awareness of bias and inequities, practices of self-care and values-based interactions.
This program focuses on five core stages, each addressing one aspect of reflection. The five stages are:
Reporting of the context of the experience
Responding to the experience (e.g., observations, feelings, thoughts)
Relating the experience to knowledge and skills educators already have
Reasoning about the significant factors/theory to explain the experience
Reconstructing practice by planning future actions for a similar experience
Detailed Costs
Three 2-hour online training sessions: $1871 per kindergarten (excluding GST) with a maximum of eight participants per session
Six 2-hour online training sessions: $3557 per kindergarten (excluding GST) with a maximum of eight participants per session

Staffing: services should consider the cost of backfill for staff that attend training when determining the cost of accessing this resource.
Tools and systems: educators will need access to computer (including microphone and speakers) and internet.
