  • Building Resilience in Pre-schoolers

    VEYLDF Alignment

Item uses these practice principles: High expectations for every child.

Item responds to these sub-outcomes: Children become strong in their social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

This training aims to improve wellbeing and long-term outcomes for children in all areas, including readiness for school, managing the school environment and managing school expectations.

Workshops aim to help parents/carers and educators better understand what resilience is and isn’t, and learn how to build children’s capacity to ‘bounce back’.

They include practical tips and strategies for building resilience, and opportunities for discussion and questions. They draw on current research highlighting how strong mental health foundations support positive outcomes for life. Educator-only sessions include discussion and a workshop to create an ‘action plan’ for educators’ particular programs and contexts.
