Tier 3: Targeted support
Navigator provides outreach and case management to help young people aged 12-17 who have attended 30% or less of the previous school term, or are not attending an education setting at all, to re-engage in education.
Navigator is delivered by contracted community service organisations that work closely with local schools and Department area teams. In each area, the program is tailored to its local community and services.
Factors to consider: Navigator uses a referral-based system. Waiting times for case management can vary and depend on program demand.
