Tier 2: Early Intervention and cohort specific support

    Program Description

Koorie Education Coordinators (KEC) are part of an area-based, multi-disciplinary team and play a key intermediary role in advising schools and colleagues in their teams on strategies to support Koorie learners. KECs lead a team of Koorie Engagement Support Officers (KESO) and can refer schools on to a KESO where appropriate, to support Koorie students. Schools also have available other resources to support Koorie students, including Student Support Services or providers on the Menu. Both mainstream service providers or targeted providers catering to Koorie student needs may be appropriate, depending on student need and context
