Integrated Children's Services

Internationally there is a growing trend towards introducing services that support a continuity of learning from the early years in child care through to primary school and beyond. This is what we mean by integrated children’s services.

Integrated children’s centres provide a range of services for children and families from a single location, offering the benefits of stability and convenience for families.

The one building or location can provide families with:

  • maternal and child health services
  • long day care, kindergarten and occasional care services
  • educational facilities such as primary and secondary schools
  • community services such as health, recreation, youth, adult learning centres, library and pre-employment services.
