Do you have a budding young film maker in your class?

Nominations are now open in the young film makers category of the Multicultural Film Festival

Film has a unique capacity to connect audiences to different points of view.

To support this, young film makers from all cultural backgrounds are invited to produce and submit a short film as part of the Victorian Multicultural Commission’s Multicultural Film Festival.

By submitting their films, students can help the festival to explore and celebrate cultural diversity and multiculturalism.

There are four young film maker categories to enter:

  • Young Film Makers category 1 (Prep to Grade 3)
  • Young Film Makers category 2 (grades 4 – 6)
  • Young Film Makers category 3 (years 7 – 10)
  • Young Film Makers category 4 (years 11 – 12).

Films can be produced individually or in groups, independently, at home with a parent or guardian or at school.

Students can collaborate across age groups.

Submissions close Sunday 20 June.
