Professional learning webinars for tutors and interested teachers

Access more than 60 hours of recorded webinars and self-paced guidance on the Tutor Learning Initiative

Free recordings of the latest webinars supporting the Tutor Learning Initiative (TLI) are now available to view.

Tutors and interested teachers who missed the webinars held earlier in Term 3, or would like to revisit the discussion, can view them through the TLI Arc Channel.

Recordings of webinars held in terms 1 and 2 are also available, including closed-captioned versions.

The professional learning supports implementation and delivery of the TLI.

The department will continue to feature professional learning opportunities for tutors in In Our Classrooms.

Recorded webinars ready to view include:

  • effective instruction for small group learning and formative assessment, delivered by Bronwyn Ryrie Jones
  • reading comprehension instruction, word-level reading and spelling, and sentence-level writing, delivered by Emina McLean
  • targeted support for VCE and VCAL students and monitoring learning gain, featuring panel discussions with principals, tutors and TLI coordinators
  • mathematics skills, literacy of mathematics and problem solving, delivered by Dr Paul Swan.

On-demand professional learning

Professional learning is available for tutors through the TLI Hub.

The TLI Hub contains on-demand and self-paced professional learning resources and guidance to support tutors to build and refresh small group teaching skills, including professional reading, videos and a suite of modules.

The TLI Hub should be opened in Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge, not Internet Explorer.
