Free professional learning from the Victorian Deaf Education Institute

Learn how to help students who are deaf or hard of hearing

The Victorian Deaf Education Institute (VDEI) is pleased to announce that for 2022, Victorian Department of Education and Training employees can now access a wide range of free on-demand professional learning presentations.

Late in 2021, VDEI offered free access to on-demand presentations as part of a trial to promote digital professional learning in deaf education.

As this initiative contributed to a significant increase in registrations, VDEI will continue to offer free access.

VDEI's mission is to strengthen the knowledge and practice of the Victorian deaf education workforce through high-quality, evidence-based professional learning.

Their professional learning program has a strong focus on current research and leading professional practice in the deaf and inclusive education fields.

It is designed to support the important role that educators and allied professionals play in enabling inclusive learning opportunities for all deaf and hard of hearing students.
