Purpose of this policy
To ensure schools have an adequate supply of computers.
Schools must complete the computer census information online before the due date.
The census of computers in schools (census) is conducted annually in conjunction with the February school census. Information is collected about all computers that are being used in schools for information and communication technologies (ICT) planning as well as government reporting purposes.
Data submitted must accurately reflect all computers that are in use at the school on census day, including both curriculum and administration computers. Information collected is based on the date of acquisition so an age profile can be obtained.
The census is completed online using the Provisioning, Inventory and Service Management (PRISM) portal as part of your annual school ICT self-assessment. Your Specialist Technician will assist you to complete the census.
