- The staying safe and well series (for all staff) includes topics such as recharging your batteries,, safeguarding against burnout and switching on your growth mindset. Recordings and tip sheets are also available for past sessions.
- The leading for wellbeing series (for people managers) offers sessions including creating and maintaining a psychologically safe work team and supporting your team's mental health and wellbeing through times of uncertainty. The sessions provide practical mental health and wellbeing tips and strategies for use through coronavirus (COVID-19) and beyond.

Mental health support
Major incidents such as the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic can have impacts on mental health and wellbeing. It is normal for children and young people to show signs of distress. Common reactions include:
- fear and anxiety
- anger and frustration
The Department's mental health toolkit for schools provides expert guidance and resources on mental health promotion and support aimed at schools and school communities, health and wellbeing workforces and mental health practitioners.

Employee assistance program
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to all Department staff – including their immediate families (aged over 18) – to access personalised psychological support via the phone or video conference. Call 1300 361 008.
Leaders and managers can access EAP's Manager Assist for additional, personalised support, coaching and guidance. Call 1300 361 008.

Family violence response
Family violence incidents and risk can increase during emergency and traumatic situations.

Support for principal-class employees
Principal health and wellbeing strategy services are available to support leaders of the school community, to protect and enhance their health and wellbeing.
Proactive wellbeing supervision (login required) has been extended to include assistant principals during 2020. It will offer coaching for all of the principal-class to be effective wellbeing leaders, and support the health and wellbeing of their school staff within the current context.
Principal mentor program will be increasing its capacity to cater for higher demand, which matches current principals with a highly skilled recently retired principal.
Early intervention program (login required) will be providing case management and psychological treatment services by phone and video.
Principal health checks are now available through your general practitioner (GP).
