How much sleep does a preschooler need?
Preschool-aged children generally need to sleep about 11 to 13 hours each night. Most preschoolers are ready for bed around 7 pm. Preschoolers start to protest less at bed time.
Children still need daytime rest, and some may nap for around an hour.
Establishing a sleep routine
While each child will be different, a sleeping routine can help to make bedtime easier.
Making sure that all toys are put away and your child has a calming and relaxing place to sleep will help them to settle and have a good night’s sleep.
