Return to Work and Workers' Compensation training

Workers' compensation and the Return to Work Coordinator role

School business managers, principals and Department managers should ensure there is a person employed in their workplace in the role of Return to Work Coordinator who is competent and has an appropriate level of seniority.

Where the Return to Work Coordinator has a conflict of interest with a particular WorkCover claim, a different Return to Work Coordinator should handle that claim.

The Department hosts training sessions for Return to Work Coordinators and for other people who are responsible for the administration of workers’ compensation, which is facilitated by our WorkCover insurance agent, Gallagher Bassett.
