Health and Safety Hazard Alerts

Schools can now visit the Policy and Advisory Library (PAL) for this information. This page will remain in this location but will be for corporate staff only. School staff should use PAL for all policy, procedures and other operational information.

A hazard alert is designed to provide concise information in relation to serious incidents or current issues in Department workplaces. The alert provides guidance in relation to appropriate procedures, practices and controls that should be implemented.

What you need to do

If the hazard is applicable to the workplace, the alert should be printed off and posted on the Health and Safety Notice Board and/or in the relevant location/area.
