School readiness funding menu

The menu for school readiness funding includes evidence-informed programs and supports that address the three priority areas for school readiness funding:

  • communication (language development)
  • wellbeing (social and emotional)
  • access and inclusion.

Each item contains a description of the item, information about the cost,  its application in a kindergarten setting and its alignment to the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).

How to be included on the menu

The menu will be updated anually, and a final version of the menu will be available later in 2019.

Items on the menu need to align to the VEYLDF and must be able to be implemented in Victorian Early Childhood settings.

Complete and submit the Menu of Evidence-informed Programs and Supports for School Readiness Funding if:

  • the item supports children’s development in one of the three priority areas
  • it is aligned to VEYLDF
  • and if it is able to be implemented in Victorian Early Childhood settings.

Items will also be evaluated for their strength in evidence.
