The Victorian Government is transforming secondary education in
Oakleigh with an education plan for the area (docx - 498.73kb).
The Victorian Government recognises the importance of rejuvenating and reforming secondary education in the Oakleigh area, and announced a Place-Based Education Plan for Oakleigh in the 2018 19 State Budget.
The Oakleigh area will continue to see urban and population growth over the next five to 10 years. The Oakleigh Education Plan seeks to deliver educational reform, to meet the needs of the growing population and high educational expectations of the local community.
Progress to date
To help create a shared vision for the Oakleigh Education Plan, in April 2019 schools and local community were invited to have their say on current and future education in the Oakleigh area. Findings and input from this engagement phase are being used to develop the Oakleigh Education Plan.

We are working with these schools, Monash Tech School and other key partners to develop the Oakleigh Education Plan, to make sure it meets the needs of all local students.
Plans are in place to develop a range of joint programs and approaches to achieve teaching and learning excellence in the three schools.
While the Oakleigh Education Plan is being developed, the three schools will continue to work together to increase cross-school collaboration, strengthen existing transition programs, and provide greater consistency of curriculum approaches for all learning stages.
