When I grow up - starting career education early

They're only in Year 2 and 3, but the students of Rosanna Golflinks Primary School are already thinking about their futures.

We asked the primary school students what they want to be when they grow up.

Education week: Careers

Education Week 2019 celebrates the strengths and achievements of Victoria's government schools.

Career Education in government schools is ensuring students have the skills and capabilities to navigate multiple careers and meet the challenges of the changing world of work. Career Education helps students make improved career and pathway decisions to prepare them for life beyond school.

Career education is a carefully planned program of learning experiences in education, training and workplace settings. Starting early, students connect to work experiences and make career education a priority. It helps students make informed decisions about courses, see the connection between school and their future, and gives them skills and knowledge to effectively navigate careers throughout their lives.
