The annual Victorian State Schools Spectacular program is an invaluable performing arts opportunity for Victoria’s government primary and secondary school students.
The program showcases and unites government school communities through working towards a common goal of more students reaching the highest level of achievement in the arts, ensuring kids are happy, healthy and resilient, and building pride in our schools.
The Spectacular has become an invaluable rite of passage for Victoria’s top young talent, and a cherished, memorable education experience for all participants.
Something Spectacular in 2020
This year’s arena event will be replaced with a made-for-TV show that is not contingent on large gatherings of people.
Performers will be pre-recorded separately in adherence to health and physical distancing guidelines and restrictions. The performances will be combined into a new-look show and televised.
More information about this exciting new approach to showcase our Spectacular performers will be provided in Term 3.
The Department of Education and Training is continuing to monitor and act on the advice of the Department of Health and Human Services about the ongoing situation related to COVID-19. We will be following these guidelines as they are updated.
