Certificates for General Education for Adults
The Certificate for General Education for Adults (CGEA) is a suite of Further Education qualifications from Course in Initial General Education for Adults through to Certificate III in General Education for Adults. They address the further education needs for adults who have left school early and need to improve their literacy, basic mathematics and general education skills. It is used nationally by Learn Local organisations, TAFE, universities, schools and other Registered Training Organisations.
The CGEA Implementation Guide (2014) is the authoritative source of advice on implementing the CGEA. It is supported by the CGEA Sample Assessment Tools.
