Science Continuum P-10

The Science Continuum P-10 – is an evidence-based resource to assist teachers to support student progress through the VELS Standards. The Continuum provides teaching approaches that support all students to achieve a sound understanding of key scientific ideas. Linking expert practice and research, the Continuum explores students’ ideas based on their everyday experiences, the age-appropriate scientific view, critical teaching ideas and teaching activities.

12 new focus ideas have been added to the Science Continuum P-10! These ideas address issues of teaching electricity, the nature of science and Earth science, among others!

 

Victorian Essential Learning Standards

Introduction, learning focus statements and standards for the Science domain  - provides the introduction to the domain, the learning focus statements and standards for Science.

Standards and progression points for Science Levels 3–6 - lists the standards and progression points for the Science domain for Levels 3–6 and beyond.
