- The ESL Developmental Continuum P–10 provides indicators of progress for each Stage and dimension of the ESL Standards, to support the assessment of students who are learning English as a second language. Teaching strategies are also provided to assist teachers in the development of effective learning programs for their ESL students.

English
Literacy to Learn videos – Teaching students to access, comprehend and respond to texts is an essential feature of learning and teaching across the VELS Domains. The Literacy to Learn videos depict secondary teachers explicitly teaching literacy strategies across a range of Domains that can be included in the regular teaching program and be implemented on a whole class basis.
Guided reading: Reciprocal teaching videos – In the following video clips teachers and their students demonstrate the strategies for reciprocal teaching: predicting, clarifying, question generating, and summarising.
Health and Physical Education
Sexuality Education - provides learning and teaching resources, teaching program development resources, professional learning opportunities, policy information, and student support information, for teachers, school leaders and parents in Victoria.
Mathematics
The Teaching Secondary Mathematics resource is for classroom teachers and school leaders of mathematics, especially from Years 7–10. It assists participants to deepen their knowledge and understanding about mathematics and to build their capacity to create the conditions that will improve mathematics learning and teaching in their school. Key ideas ideas are addressed through nine professional learning modules each with downloadable explanations and presentations.
The Fractions and Decimals Online Interview will allow teachers to better understand their students’ knowledge, skills and behaviours with regard to fractions and decimals, a known ‘hot spot’ of difficulty for many students. It will allow comprehensive collated data to be available that can be compared within schools to better understand student achievement and monitor student progress.
Science
Sample Science is a unit planning resource for primary teachers. It provides engaging and challenging activities that encourage students to explore science ideas. Teachers can sample from these activities to develop units that support students to achieve the VELS Science standards.
