The Digilearn online portal provides all Victorian government teachers with great educational digital learning resources, including The Learning Federation(TLF) digital learning objects.
There are also thousands of other digital resources that are freely available in schools through Digilearn, including archival resources from museums, art galleries and other Australian cultural institutions.
All of the digital content on Digilearn is available to teachers from within your school or outside.

The Digilearn portal is a secure site which is available to all Victorian government school teachers. It requires your Edumail login and password.
Digital learning resources can play a central role in student learning, enabling schools to innovate with ICT and develop effective learning and teaching practices that can transform the way students learn. Digilearn's flexible multimedia objects can be used to develop, assess or reinforce concepts and procedures. They help students develop the digital, visual and information literacy skills they need to thrive in the 21st Century.
You can integrate digital learning objects into a sequence of student learning activities, which includes routine classroom activities away from a computer. Digital learning objects can:

Their are three main categories in the digital learning resources accessible through Digilearn.
Learning Objects
Learning objects are chunks of digital material, such as graphics, text, audio, animation, interactive tools, specifically designed to engage and motivate students to learn.
Learning objects are identified by the letter L, e.g. L387 identifies Catch the Thief
Digital Resources
Digital resources are digital content gathered from a range of cultural institutions. They are single assets such as moving images, photos and audio files.
In contrast to learning objects, which have in-built instructional design, teachers and students can use the digital resources in a range of flexible ways to suit their own curriculum needs.
Digital resources are identified by the letter R, e.g. R5354 identifies Early Map of the World
Teacher Created Resources
Teacher created resources are resources provided by Victorian government schools and through initiatives supported by the Department of Education.
Teacher resources are identified by the letters LT, e.g. LT5083 identifies The Gobbiliser
Digilearn learning resources use Flash and Shockwave software. These file formats will allow you to use the one object through multiple computer platforms, and they are are transferable over the Internet.
