Reading Recovery has assisted millions of children in many countries to catch up with their peers by making accelerated progress in reading and writing. The following resources provide the results of the 2006 program, details of how data is collected and a downloadable user guide for date collection.

2006 results (PDF - 43Kb)
6460 Victorian early years students participated in Reading Recovery in 2006. Eighty-six per cent of those students successfully completed the program and resumed their usual classroom reading and writing lessons. A further eight per cent were identified as requiring ongoing support in the area of literacy.

Online data collection
Ongoing evaluation of Reading Recovery is essential. Since Reading Recovery was introduced in Victoria in 1984, data has been collected for every student served in Victorian Government schools. Reading Recovery teachers enter data on the Department Of Education And Early Childhood Development's secure website .
