- Literacy to Learn: Getting students knowledge ready for literacy learning videos - Secondary teachers working in Northern Metropolitan region with Associate Professor John Munro have trialled and developed a series of literacy teaching procedures to support literacy learning in all learning domains.
- Detailed reading: A teaching strategy for high level support in reading and writing – a strategy that provides high level support for students involving the three phases of text marking, note making and rewriting at either the paragraph or sentence level.

- Reading for learning: Pause, Prompt, Praise – this is a strategy which aims to encourage students to monitor meaning from a text and to self-correct. It can be used any time the student is reading aloud.
