Examples of situations when interpreting and translating services may be used are:

- issues concerning discipline or welfare of individual students from language backgrounds other than English

- to assist with enrolment of students from language backgrounds other than English.
Schools can also use the services to translate school notices.
Schools are responsible for organising the interpreting and translating services within the set guidelines.
