Strategic questioning - Provides support from the Curriculum Corporation to assist teachers in incorporating strategic questioning when assessing for learning and provides examples and tools for planning future teaching of communication skills.
Multi domain assessment task: Sample task 1 - Work in the Community - Focuses on economics, interpersonal development and communication at Level 4. Students make an oral presentation on work in the local community to an audience of peers.
Multi domain assessment task: Sample task 6 - Your Pursuit - Focuses on history, thinking processes and communication at Level 5. The sample task is for students to create a 'Trivial Pursuit' style of board game to test the local historical knowledge of Year 7 and 8 students. It follows each of the seven key principles of the design guidelines and provides a reflection on the task at every stage.
Multi domain assessment task: Sample task 8 – Toy with electrical circuit - Focuses on science, thinking processes and communication at Level 5. Students create a stuffed toy incorporating a working electric circuit which facilitates some kind of movement in the toy. They make an oral presentation about their toy to a peer group or class.
