MOVE: Video art in schools
Video art is recognised as one of the most popular art forms for students, being the most familiar in our contemporary world, yet it is the most challenging to teach. The benefactor of MOVE: video art in schools project, John Kaldor, was inspired to create an innovative teachers’ resource when he saw a group of children engaging with a Richard Long sculpture in the Tate Gallery, London. He was so taken with their response that he wanted to do more, hence he established MOVE: Video art in schools in 2007. MOVE is currently being distributed to all Victorian State secondary schools by DEECD and Arts Education Victoria.
