What is VATSET?

V.A.T.S.E.T. logo

Victorian Association of Traffic Safety Education Teachers (VATSET), ABN: 56 728 908 179 is the professional association for teachers and other school personnel with an interest in Traffic Safety Education (TSE).

VATSET is currently developing a database of Traffic Safety Education resources and resource organizations free for all members’ use. A pamphlet outlining the database and key resources and agencies will accompany the database.

VATSET and DEECD also supports the Fit to Drive (F2D) program. F2D is a peer education and forum/discussion program for years 10, 11 and 12 which addresses issues around driver responsibilities, and serves to link school and community programs for youth as they become drivers on the roads. Contact Graham Spencer of GSC Partners on (03) 9885 9010 for further information.

  • up-to-date information on curriculum resources and professional development
  • changes to road laws
  • traffic safety community information and
  • program support available to schools from all key road safety agencies.

Each edition focuses on a special topic and contains ready-to-use lessons and activities for both primary and secondary teachers. Ask your Principal for the current copy in your school, or download a copy of recent editions here:
