Section 4.3.1.1 of the Application Guidelines provides a description of the three funding categories. Category 1 is for teacher professional associations. Category 2 is for large institutional partners. Category 3 is for community, scientific and cultural organisations.
Any new organisations (i.e. organisations that have not received funding in the current 2006–08 triennium) should apply through Category 3.
If you are still unclear about which category to apply under, please contact the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development on (03) 9637 3328 to discuss your organisation’s status.
We recommend that you consolidate your individual programs as different sub-programs under one overall program heading in one application. You can then draw on all your programs to address the selection criteria in one application. This will obviate the need to duplicate the application form for each of the individual sub programs.
Your total funding request should be for the triennium 2009–11. You are also required to provide a breakdown of this funding for each of the three years in the body of the application.
The application form requires you to provide amounts excluding GST.
Yes. In the case of multiple program requests, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development reserves the right to fund a selected program or programs within an application or to negotiate with the applicant for a lesser/greater amount.
Before final approval of funding, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development reserves the right to negotiate with organisations/associations about the capability, cost and/or efficiency of program proposals. At this stage only, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development may request further information to support the application.
