The Making Multicultural Australia (MMA) is a website that provides resource material and documentation of our multicultural past. It is one of the leading sources of quality education resources on multiculturalism.

The MMA website contains a research library to support teachers of:

  • communication
  • civics and citizenship
  • English
  • history
  • interpersonal development.

There over 3500 pages of articles, historical videos, media reports, lesson plans, opinions and interviews about a range of multicultural issues including:

  • reconciliation
  • immigration policies
  • racism
  • our history of cultural awakening
  • stories of migrants and their personal journey to Australia.

An update of the website will occur during 2008.

The Making Multicultural Australia website is a valuable resource for teachers and has the support of:

  • Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) and
  • the Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC).
