Multicultural Education is a key component embedded through Victoria’s education curriculum, the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS). It provides the opportunity for all students to develop cross-cultural understanding, cultural literacy and be contributing global citizen throughout their lives. It aims to ensure everyone in the school community works together to realise the social, cultural and economic benefits of a harmonious society.
