Membership

An SSG consists of school-based and non-school representatives with a direct role in the care of the child or young person.

 

Membership will typically include:

School

Non-school

  • the principal or nominee (to act as a chairperson)
  • a class teacher (primary) or teacher/s nominated as having responsibility for the group in decision-making
  • the student (where appropriate).
  • the parent, guardian or carer/s
  • an advocate for the parent, guardian or carer/s where chosen by the parent, guardian or carer/s.
