Newly Arrived Students
The New Arrivals Program provides intensive English as a second language (ESL) tuition. It is designed for newly arrived students from language backgrounds other than English. Those who meet the eligibility criteria are able to access ESL tuition for between six and twelve months.
The New Arrivals Program is delivered to students principally through English language schools and centres in the metropolitan area, as well as regional programs currently operating in Mildura, Geelong, Ballarat, Traralgon and Shepparton.

Outreach services coordinators - Outreach services coordinators, in cooperation with schools, assist teachers to assess the English language learning needs of newly arrived students.

Isolated ESL student support program - ESL support is available for eligible new arrival students requiring ESL support in isolated and country areas. This page contains information about the two support options available.
