ICT Support and Services

These services support the adoption and implementation of eLearning and information and communication technology (ICT) in Victorian Government schools, and they ensure students and teachers operate in a secure and reliable learning environment.

ICT Support & Services - support and information for Cases21 (the school administrative and finance system), EduLibrary (the Department's document system), ICT products and services pricing schedules, ICT security policy, EduWeb (the Department's intranet), IT grants, IT updates, local area networks, software, VicSmart (the Victorian network) and the Victorian Assessment Software System.

The Schools ICT Progression Strategy (SIPS) - a suite of resources and tools for schools designing and developing school-based ICT infrastructure to support improvement in learning outcomes. You can download a pack of resources including School ICT Inventory, School ICT Infrastructure Roadmap, ICT Design Models for Schools and ICT Design for Learning Spaces to support Building the Education Revolution and other school capital works, as well as a School Building ICT Design Calculator.

The NetBook Project - has background information to the Netbook Learning project, including an outline of the trial, information for parents and schools participating in the trial and contact information. Almost 10,000 students have received netbook computers through the Victorian Government's Netbook Learning project. 

National Secondary School Computer Fund (NSSCF) - has Department information for Victorian government schools about the implementation of the Australian Government’s NSSCF initiative to improve access to computers for students in Years 9-12. Digital Education Revolution - Australia-wide information about the Australian Government's Digital Education Revolution, including the NSSCF, the broadband initiative and other elements of the policy.
