Whole school – Secondary school curriculum models PowerPoint

Secondary schools forums focusing on Designing a Curriculum for the Future were held in each region during 2006. Secondary schools were encouraged to send leadership teams to participate in the full-day forums. School leaders spent the day considering:

  • where are we up to in terms of implementing the Student Learning initiatives such as the Victorian Essential Learning Standards, assessment and reporting advice, Curriculum Planning Guidelines, Principles of Learning and Teaching
  • what challenges, issues and dilemmas face schools in designing curriculum?
  • how can we engage in effective whole-school curriculum planning?
  • what are some of the curriculum design models/options being used in other schools?
