Program and student groupings – Program planning

The following programs and templates can be used by teachers, individually or in a team, to plan programs and topics for a particular student cohort, incorporating the Victorian Essential Learning Standards, Principles of Learning and Teaching, and assessment advice.

A number of options are presented so teachers can choose the one that best suits their needs.

Mulberry Hill Cluster online curriculum planner – Share in the rich professional learning that Mulberry Hill Cluster has undertaken in developing a curriculum planner that is aligned with the Victorian Essential Learning Standards, the Principles of Learning and Teaching P-12 and Assessment Advice. The planner is now widely used across the schools within the cluster.

Yearly planner for a cohort of students (Word - 30Kb).

Planning a unit of work 1 (Word - 31Kb) – uses the strands of the Standards to focus planning.

Planning a unit of work 2 (Word - 28Kb) – is based on posing the questions of Why, What and How to focus planning.

Planning a unit of work 3 (Word - 26Kb) – uses teacher knowledge about students as the focus for planning.

Integrated VELS Learning and Teaching planner (Word - 203Kb) – This tool was developed by Lisa Hill of Mossgiel Park Primary School.
