Advice on how to install InfoPath on your computer
- This material has been prepared for Victorian Government school staff, and presumes they have MS InfoPath and Internet Explorer installed, and are familiar with using this software.
The online planner is a Microsoft Infopath file. To ensure the Infopath file works properly, it is important when you use a level of the planner for the first time that you
- open a blank planner for that level
- close it, and then
- open it again.
Now you are ready to begin working on the planner at this level. If you don't do this to start with you won't be able to open a subsequent planner for that level. This only needs to be done once at each level you wish to work on.
Follow the prompts if you get a message asking you to install updates from Internet Explorer. This will update the older version of Infopath on your computer.
When viewing the show the following questions are designed to help focus thinking.
- What are the strengths of this planner?
- How could you improve it to suit your school context? Which part would you use and how would you adapt it? What elements of the planner are not included in your current curriculum planning? What elements of your curriculum planning are not evident in this planner? What does this mean for any updating of your current planning?
- What would be the likely impact if you were to implement this planner in your school?
- What ideas from this presentation could you use for planning in your own teaching?
