Program and student groupings

This phase involves interpreting the Victorian Essential Learning Standards and post-compulsory education and training to create a curriculum plan that has a clear focus on what is to be learnt, how learning will occur and how it will be assessed at a whole school level. Consideration is given to organisational structures and resourcing that account for student diversity.

Possible models – provides different models schools might consider as they design programs for their students.

Planning process and template – provides a possible model for curriculum planning. The template includes a series of questions to focus thinking as teachers move through the suggested planning process.

Program planning – provides a range of planning templates that could be used to plan learning and teaching activities for cohorts of students.

Student diversity

Supporting Diverse Needs Process Tool (Word - 40Kb) – this document is to help identify and plan support for students who need additional or differentiated support.

Overview of Learning Study (PDF - 54Kb) – is a process where teachers collaboratively plan how to teach areas where there are many common misunderstandings and connects teacher professional learning to classroom teaching.
