- Teacher: [I learnt that] self and peer assessment can take the load off teachers. Peers can be positive and balance the child's own assessment

- Teacher: One thing I do is get the kids to put their work in different tubs as they leave at break or the end of the day. They choose which tub according to how they self assess their work. I call it "Which Face?" (PDF - 70Kb)

- At Yarrambat Primary we have been doing self assessment for a while now. We have a few different formats and we sometimes use the de bono 6 hats for self assessment as well. They fill in goal tracking sheets, too, across the term. We have different ones for different levels.
