Prep to Year 10 Assessment – Assessment Professional Learning Modules
The modules include strategies to:
- strengthen capacity to use assessment to drive teaching that promotes deep understanding and powerful learning, and
- assess students' progress towards the achievement of the Victorian Essential Learning Standards.

Self assessment tool - In order to plan effective professional learning around assessment, it is recommended that this tool be completed by staff. It acts as a guide to which professional learning modules and activities will be useful for particular groups of teachers. The tool supports teachers in the self assessment of their practices and knowledge. Individual teachers, groups of teachers who work together in a team or a whole school staff can undertake this self assessment process.

Gaining credit for the Assessment Professional Learning Modules (PDF - 22Kb) - Teachers can gain credit towards a Monash University Master of Education degree for their work undertaken on the Assessment Professional Learning Modules.
