The Australian Blueprint for Career Development (http://www.milesmorgan.com.au/) - this exciting project, commissioned by the Transition from School Taskforce of the Ministerial Council on Education, Employment, Training and Youth Affairs (MCEETYA) and the Enterprise and Career Foundation (ECEF), aims to develop and test a blueprint for the development of career services and products for children, youth and adults across Australia.
Australian Bureau of Statistics (http://www.abs.gov.au/) - the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is Australia’s national statistical agency and they collect, compile, analyse and disseminate a wide range of statistics.
Australian Job Search (http://www.jobsearch.gov.au/) - JobSearch is an online job board allowing job seekers to search for job vacancies across Australia. Jobsearch also assists employers to find quality staff and to guide them in finding useful employer information.
The Australian Network of Practice Firms (http://www.anpf.cit.act.edu.au/index.php) - a practice firm is a simulated business that is set up and run by trainees with support from an educator (trainer/facilitator) and a real business. Practice firms conduct business with other practice firms in a simulated environment on a local, national or international basis. The products and services traded reflect those marketed by their real business partners.
Australian Qualifications Framework (http://www.aqf.edu.au/) - a unified system of national qualifications in schools, vocational education and training (TAFEs and private providers) and the higher education sector (mainly universities).
Business talking...student work placements (http://www.vecci.org.au/professional+services/veet/programs+and+projects/business+talking1.asp) - this program is a Department of Education and Victorian Employers' Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI) initiative. It is a business recruitment strategy which encourages employers to recruit other employers to become involved in Structured Work Placements. Resource kits have been developed by employers in the areas of Retail and Small Business, Engineering, Horticulture and Dairy Farming.
Curriculum Corporation (http://www.curriculum.edu.au/ccsite/) - the Curriculum Corporation provides free downloadable resources to assist in the implementation of Training Packages for VET in Schools programs. It includes general information, professional development, assessment materials, implementation guidelines and links to a range of other relevant websites. The individual industry area sites provide specialist details on implementation, assessment and other useful resources, as well as downloadable support materials. Their VET News page provides current information on vocational education issues and events.
Credit Matrix (http://www.vqa.vic.gov.au/vqa/credit_matrix/) - The Credit Matrix is a system by which learning outcomes can be arranged in levels of increased complexity. It also provides a measure for the amount (volume) of learning. The credit matrix provides a common measure to put a value on and compare learning in different kinds of qualifications.

Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD) (http://www.diird.vic.gov.au/) - the Victorian Government's lead agency for economic and regional development, and is instrumental in building an innovative state.
Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) (http://www.dpcd.vic.gov.au) - The Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) has been established to closely link planning with community development to build active, confident, and inclusive communities.
The Dusseldorp Skills Forum (http://www.dsf.org.au/) - in addition to general information about the forum, the site contains most of the publications and papers that the Dusseldorp Skills Forum have produced over the last four years and the details of the current projects.
Edresearch Online (http://cunningham.acer.edu.au/dbtw-wpd/sample/edresearch.htm) - a freely searchable web database. It includes 11,000 records from the Australian Education Index, covering all educational sectors. 8500 of the documents are available on the web for free with the remainder available for a copyright fee.
Education Network Australia (EdNA) (http://www.edna.edu.au/) - the national educational network and offers collections of resources, community and training information and school and tertiary education links, as well as resources and links to other organisations.
ENTREDU (http://www.entredu.com/) - an international website/database relating to enterprise education. It deals with primary, secondary, Further Education, undergraduates, graduates and adults. The website is made of three parts; Enterprise Education literature, Enterprise Education policies, Enterprise Education programmes.
Group Training Australia (http://www.gtaltd.com.au/) - the peak body representing over 150 Group Training Organisations (GTOs). The Group Training network is one of the largest employers of apprentices and trainee's in Australia. Most group training companies operate on a regional basis, although many work with specific industries eg. hospitality, automotive, retail and rural.
Job Watch (http://www.job-watch.org.au/) - a community legal centre that provides free and confidential telephone information, advice and referral service on issues of employment and training law. It is an independent, non-profit organisation based in Victoria.
Mentoring and Capacity Building (http://www.youth.vic.gov.au/web21/ofy/dvcofy.nsf/headingpagesdisplay/grants+and+programsmentoring) - The Mentoring and Capacity Building Initaitive is a whole of government strategic, coordinated framework for mentoring young people.
Ministerial Council on Education, Employment, Training and Youth Affairs (MVCEETYA) (http://www.mceetya.edu.au/mceetya/) - Membership for the MCEETYA comprises of Australian State, Territory and Australian Government and New Zealand Ministers with responsibility for the portfolios of education, employment, training and youth affairs, with Papua New Guinea and Norfolk Island having observer status.
National Centre for Vocation Education Research Ltd (NCVER) (http://www.ncver.edu.au/) - has general information about NCVER, contact details (including email addresses) for key staff, information about the National Vocational Education & Training Clearinghouse, conference information and extracts from the Australian Training Review. The site also provides a link to the Vocational Education and Training Research database (VOCED) containing information about current and published research in the VET sector in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region. Contributions to the database may be made online.
Office of Training and Tertiary Education (OTTE) (http://www.otte.vic.gov.au) - OTTE is part of the Department for Innovation, Industry and Regional Development. OTTE's role is to plan, regulate and deliver a range of education and training programs and services in Victoria.
Office for Youth (http://www.youth.vic.gov.au) - This website provides information for youth workers, teachers, academics, parents and anyone with an interest in working with young Victorians and supporting them to reah their full potential.
OZJAC (http://www.curriculum.edu.au/ozjac/index.htm) - an easy-to-use computer program that can help young people and adults find the answers to their job, course and career questions. It brings together information on all accredited courses in Australia, links courses to jobs, and jobs to industry, with explanations of new concepts used in education, training and the labour market.
Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) (http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/) - provides a curriculum framework for what is taught in Victoria’s schools and guidelines on how students’ achievement is measured – at all levels from Prep to Year 12.
Victorian Qualifications Authority (VQA) (http://www.vqa.vic.gov.au/vqa/) - responsible for accrediting new qualifications and courses, approving the education and training providers who offer the Victorian qualifications and ensuring the quality of qualifications.
Vocational Education Community Online (VECO) (http://www.ash.org.au/veco/) - provides an online communication tool for vocational education personnel across Australia. The VECO email list is a ready source of assistance to those new to VET as well as an important tool for disseminating news to VET practitioners who subscribe to the list.
Worksite for schools (http://www.worksite.actu.asn.au/) - has a wealth of information and resources focusing on the world of work. The site includes curriculum resources for teachers, case studies, work words, information about casual work, unions and much more.
Youth Affairs Council of Victoria (http://www.yacvic.org.au) - YACVic is an independent, non-government organisation. It's vision is for a Victorian community that values and provides opportunity, participation, justice and equity for all young poeple.
Youth Central (http://www.youthcentral.vic.gov.au) - Youth Central offers a range of informaiton and advice for young poeple on issues like jobs, study, travel, monet and evnets and provides young people with the opportunity to participate.
Youth Pathways Program (YPP) (http://www.acfe.vic.gov.au/ypp) - This program provides individual pathways support and training to young people aged 15-19 years old who have left school without completing Year 12.
