Some scholarships are available from organisations for study at your chosen institution for example Rotary Indigenous Australian Tertiary Scholarship - The Rotary Club of Balwyn established a scholarship for Indigenous Australian students to study at an approved tertiary institution (TAFE, University or other approved institution) for up to four years. The inaugural scholarship is awarded on a biennial basis starting in 2005. The value of the scholarship in 2007 was $20,000 per annum. Applicants must be Victorian and must study at a Melbourne institution.

Centrelink - For Indigenous secondary or tertiary student or a full-time Australian Apprentice, Abstudy may help students stay at school or go on to further studies. Abstudy includes a fortnightly living allowance and other payments to help with the costs of studying.
