The Future of the Past - The National Inquiry into School History - explains how the Australian Government commissioned the national inquiry into school history to examine the nature and status of history teaching, to look at comparable overseas experiences and to identify principles, approaches and priorities to enhance the quality of teaching and learning of history in Australian schools. Provides a starting point for the improvement of how history is taught and learnt in our classrooms.
