Module 2 of the English Online Interview has seven assessment tasks. The literacy dimensions and literacy aspects of these tasks are aligned to the English Developmental Continuum P-10.
The Finalised Assessment Report (pdf - 484.54kb) (in tabular format) should be referred to when using the English Online Interview Teaching Resource. The report provides details of the student’s response to each question within the tasks from Module 2, highlighting the dimension and literacy aspect being addressed. If the student gave the highest level response, a tick is shown. If not, the actual response is shown.
A teaching focus and accompanying strategy have been provided for each of the possible responses to the questions within each task.
Using the English Online Interview Teaching Resource – Module 2
The instructions below should be followed when using the English Online Interview Teaching Resource – Module 2:
- Print a copy of the Finalised Assessment Report in tabular format for each student.
- Analyse the Finalised Assessment Reports, identifying a literacy focus for each student and grouping students according to their responses.
- Select a task from Module 2 (below) to view the teaching focus and accompanying strategy for each of the possible responses to the questions within the task.
- Use the appropriate teaching focus and strategy with individual students or groups of students with similar learning needs, based on their responses in the Finalised Assessment Report.
Links to the English Developmental Continuum P-10 are provided at the end of each task where relevant indicators of progress and teaching strategies can be found.
