Assessment advice portal

The Assessment Advice Portal provides a central online access point to a suite of assessment tools and information for teachers.

The Portal will support teachers to use a range of assessment tools and link assessment results to teaching strategies and resources.

The Portal is the first stage in the delivery of the Insight Online Assessment Platform that will deliver assessment advice, tools, training and advice to teachers and practitioners.

For more information, see: Insight Assessment Portal

Assessment tools

A range of tools and guidelines is available on the Assessment Advice Portal to assist the process of creating effective formal assessment tasks (e.g. tests, projects, presentations) and informal assessments (e.g. observation, discussion, questioning) to assess where learners are at in their progress along the learning continuum.

Effective use of assessment tools and tasks with learners improves self-assessment practices by involving learners directly in assessment.
