Curriculum Planning

From Term 1 2017, Victorian government and Catholic schools will use the new Victorian Curriculum F-10. Curriculum related information is currently being reviewed and may be subject to change.

For more information on the curriculum, see:
The Victorian Curriculum F–10 - VCAA

The focus of curriculum planning should be on ensuring that the teaching and learning program as a whole provides the content set out in the Victorian Curriculum F-10 and enables the reporting of student achievement against the achievement standards. The way in which the school curriculum is structured and delivered is a matter for an individual school or network of schools.

The school’s teaching and learning program reflects the vision, direction and purpose of each individual school as determined by the engagement of teachers, students, parents and the local community

Schools develop and publish a whole-school curriculum plan that documents their teaching and learning program across the years of schooling. These plans should be based on a stages of schooling approach based on three stages: Foundation (Prep-Year 2), Breadth (Years 3-8) and Pathways (Years 9-10).
