EAL Developmental Continuum P-10

New EAL curriculum

The new EAL curriculum is now available on Victorian Curriculum F-10.

New timeline for implementing the Victorian Curriculum F10-EAL

All government schools will now be expected to implement the new Victorian Curriculum F-10 EAL from Term 1, 2021.

During 2020 schools may choose to implement the new EAL curriculum (in part or entirely) or continue to use the EAL Companion to AusVELS as their curriculum.

The Department will provide interim assessment and reporting advice to support teachers choosing to implement the new EAL curriculum in 2020, and schools can report against the achievement standards of either curriculum using their existing reporting software.

Throughout 2020 support to schools to plan and implement the new EAL curriculum will be progressively rolled out. It will be available from this page
