​Connecting Victoria's classrooms

The Arc platform provides teachers with access to digital resources, educational software, virtual events and conferences. 

On the English as an additional language (EAL) channel view recordings of professional learning webinars for teachers of EAL and register for upcoming events.  The recorded webinars present practical strategies and cover a range of topics, from moderating student work samples on the Victorian Curriculum F-10 EAL, to assessing and reporting on EAL learners' progress.

VicTESOL

Victorian Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (VicTESOL) provides support and services to EAL teachers in schools and pre-schools, English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students, adult, community and industry settings.

VicTESOL is managed by an elected executive committee of volunteers supported by part-time professional development organisers. It offers a range of TESOL and multicultural education professional development activities of interest to primary and secondary teachers.

Foundation House (Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture)

The Foundation House Schools Support Program offers a specialist service to teachers and school leaders. It acknowledges schools' contribution to the recovery, resettlement and integration processes for children, young people and their parents and carers whose lives have been disrupted by conflict, persecution and long-term displacement.

Foundation House offers courses and one off professional learning events to support those working with students and young people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.
